Mackenzie District Council

The main objective of the Mackenzie District Councils website development was to bring a more modern, interactive feel to the site, and better represent the Council and district to local residents and tourists through an interactive site with clear hierarchy of information.

With the previous site being based on a narrow template, information access was restricted. The Mackenzie District Council contracted the services of Expert to develop a more user friendly site for both site visitors and administrators.

With clear online objectives developed, and a focus on information hierarchy, The Mackenzie District Council sites back-end administration was set to match front-end access. The pages for The Mackenzie District Council site were allocated into folders and sections of the MoST content management system to ensure simple site administration and further development over time.

The end result was a site which clearly displayed the most highly demanded functions online, and provided simple, concise navigation to all information and documents sought by residents and tourists to The Mackenzie District, while portraying the friendly, rural nature of the area.
