Safe and Sustainable Transport Association of Aotearoa/New Zealand (SASTA):

SASTA is an independent national group representing professionals working in or contracted by local government who promote best practice community activities that seek to improve safety and sustainability on our transport network.

SASTA approached Expert Developments with a goal of bringing their organization online. Having previously had no web presence, SASTA wanted a simple to manage site to promote the work they are doing within the transport network, while also bringing their membership online using automated systems. Expert assisted SASTA where possible, including advice on domain registration, email setup, and all the steps to bring their organization online.

SASTA had a clear theme and message they wanted to deliver through their web presence, focused on safe transport, and community engagement within New Zealand.

With SASTA operating as a national committee, Expert Developments ran through the complete design process using online systems, with all SASTA exec members able to access concepts online through each design stage, ensuring that consensus was achieved at each stage before progressing.

With the move to bringing their organization online, SASTA also moved their membership database online. To automate membership, SASTA used the MoST enterprise management system, controlling not only web content, but also their membership database, event management, subscription management, and more (with even more to come in the near future).

Through this automated online system, not only has SASTA created a clean, professional impression of their organization and a simple way to communicate with members, it has also reduced administration time. Invoicing of member subscriptions has been automated, exclusive member only resources are available online; a facility for online membership applications has been established, with each member able to update their details online. The outcome of these tools is a significant reduction in the requirements of their membership administrator, meaning that the organization is now better able to focus on its objectives rather than administration.
